Are you successfully using YouTube to generate traffic?
This is an honest question! I’ve only been testing this method out recently and it seems to work. With a couple of niche websites, I’ve managed to pull in a little bit of traffic making simple videos, and posting it on YouTube.
Now this definitely isn’t a ground breaking strategy, but I’ll show you how I do it.
Paul Lion’s “Top Secret” YouTube Traffic Generating Technique:
I hope you got my sarcasm there!
Step 1. Find a “Hot” niche/market!
There are tons of way to find a hot niche. Soon, on my site alone, I’ll be releasing a basic guide on how to find a hot niche, but for now I’ll keep it simple. As I’m writing this entry, I know the new Apple iPod just released and there’s a lot of buzz surrounding it. I know for a fact that’s a “hot” market right now, so I’ll try to capitalize on it while it’s still buzzing.
Step 2. Find an offer for said “Hot Market”
This is pretty self explanatory! Go to www.offervault.com and find a related CPA offer that has something about your “hot market”.
Step 3. Create a video
There are a lot of sites on the internet right now that can create a video in seconds! I personally use Animoto, and it has done wonders for me. I just plug in a bunch of pictures that are related to my “hot” market, and it automatically creates a video. Make sure at the end of your video to include a link. Check out a sample:
Just as a tip – include text and music into your video. Not only will it add drama and excitement, but there are ways to induce curiosity, making the viewing want to click onĀ your link.
Step 4. Upload it to YouTube
Next thing is to upload it for the world to see your amazingly pro video. Include a very descriptive title, as well as a brief description of your video. On that description, make sure to add a link to your offer!
Step 5. Bring in traffic, to generate traffic!
Wouldn’t it be a wonderful world if we could just put up a video and automatically have 1 Million Hits? Damn right it would! Too bad it isn’t! So if you have any link building expertise, this would be the time to generate buzz aroundĀ your video. If you don’t here are some quick things you can do to at least bring in some visitors:
- Ping your site – I like to use pingler
- Go to forums and link back to your site
- Go on Web 2.0 sites and link back to your site
- Use twitter to generate some buzz around your video
These are only some traffic generating techniques to create a buzz around your video, but the best part about it, is it’s free!
I’ll be releasing a guide soon that will hopefully clear a lot of this stuff, but this is just a jist of how you can use YouTube as another traffic source. If your video is good, it will go viral!
Try it, even if you get a couple hundred views that’s still a couple hundred views for free!
Who’s saying what?
