One of the Best FREE Theme’s I’ve used..

Hey guys,

Just wanted to share a theme I use (a lot more these days) when I setup a Amazon Niche Site. It’s called iNove. You can actually search it on your “Add a new Theme” page in WordPress.

I do a little customization to make it a little more unique, but the foundation is absolutely gorgeous. It’s simple, not “in your face”, and has a modern feel (great for when your doing a niche on electronics or something).

Using YouTube as a Traffic Generator?

Are you successfully using YouTube to generate traffic?

This is an honest question! I’ve only been testing this method out recently and it seems to work. With a couple of niche websites, I’ve managed to pull in a little bit of traffic making simple videos, and posting it on YouTube.

Now this definitely isn’t a ground breaking strategy, but I’ll show you how I do it. [Read more...]

Wordze – Scammers, fraudsters, thieves!

Well this is a lesson learned:

Don’t assume that the products that ‘well known affiliates’ support on their page, is good” – you can quote me on that.

About a couple months ago, I was looking at ways on how I can improve keyword researching. I found that I needed help in that area so I decided to research about it. Eventually I had a couple of options and Wordze was one of them. I went through their site, read reviews about them, and found out that a extremely well known affiliate was using them as well – a “super affiliate” too.

So I thought, “Ok if this guy is using it, then it must be good!” – classic thought process by me, such an idiot. On top of their credentials, they also had a “FREE 14-day trial” in which I can try the program for 14 days and if I don’t like it, I can cancel. If, however, I don’t cancel they’ll charge me $X amount (I think it was $40 dollars). So I knew what I was getting into, but I had full intention of canceling before the 14 days was up.

Are you SEO friendly?

Are you SEO friendly?

As I dive deeper into Affiliate Marketing, three BIG letters keep popping up! S-E-O!

What is SEO?

SEO / Search Engine Optimization, is a process that improves your sites ranking or quality of traffic on search engines.

Lets break it down into layman’s terms. If you have a “fantastic, most awesome site EVER, like OMG”, if it isn’t “SEO friendly”, no one (besides you and your mom) would know about this awesome site. That’s basically the point of making a site, so other’s can enjoy it, right?

Campaigns: How they’re similar to girlfriends

Do you remember your first girlfriend? I do, how can you forget, it was your very first one! Well your first girlfriend is like your first campaign. You go through similar phases:

Adgroups: How many do you have?

Honest question! How many ad groups do you have? As I continue to dive into PPC, the more tips and tricks I start to uncover. Why 8?

Tracking is your friend!

I finally see the importance of tracking. Whether it be keyword tracking or conversion tracking, it allows you to see what’s actually going on with your campaign.

Let me explain. If you were a manager of a retail store and for about a month your sales have been dropping, you’re going to ask yourself, why? You know your product is good because you slammed sales the month before, so what else could it be? Traffic is good, so what’s missing? You then focus on your workers. You notice that 3 of your top 5 sellers are doing their quota, but you notice the other 2 aren’t doing so well. So you take action and figure out why. You realize that 1 has family issues, and the other is stressed from school; 2 perfectly good explanations as to why sales are down.

That’s what keyword tracking and conversion tracking is all about; finding information you didn’t know was there, which can then help you improve your landing page or keywords and eventually lead to more sales.

PPC Search Engines: Choose one for now, and master it!

Google Adwords, Yahoo Search Marketing, MSN adCenter.

Choose one when your starting out in PPC advertising. I made the mistake of pushing my campaign out to all 3 of these search engines giants, hoping to get a sale/lead. Don’t do this! This will only waste time and money. For now, only pick one, and master it!

Master it??

If you want to SUCCEED, make TIME!

With anything in life, if you ever want to succeed, you have to make time! These things go hand in hand!

I work an 8-5 job (I’d like to work on my affiliate business full time, but the income is quite yet there), right after that I workout for an hour, and once that’s done, I work on my affiliate business until I’m ready to pass out. Yeah you could say I’m pulling in at least 16 hour days, but I’ve come to realize, if I ever want to become successful in this business, I have to put in time towards it.

Malcom Gladwell, (author of Tipping Point, Outliers, and Blink) often mentioned his “10,000 hour rule”, in which, to become an expert in ANY field, you’d have to devote at least 10,000 towards that craft, sport, instrument, etc. 10,000 hours!! I calculated it and here’s a breakdown of how much 10,000 hours really is:

Don’t give up, update your Goals

I’ll admit, for a week I got tired of Affiliate Marketing.

The “shiny ball” swayed my interest somewhere else, and it hampered my passion, my action, and my goals towards Affiliate Marketing.  After that week, I was disgusted in myself. I thought long and hard and said to myself ‘I always do “this”‘. By “this”, I mean, I always focus on something, put all my effort into it (in this case Affiliate Marketing), and in a couple weeks I lose interest. Then it dawned on me. The reason why I lose interest is that I don’t update my goals!

I mentioned in my previous post that I made a list of goals for myself, and I did. In fact, I’ll list my very first goal:
